Airport Transfers

Melbourne Airport is located approximately 20 kilometres north of the city.  The most direct route is via the Tullamarine Freeway.  The fastest way to the city or the airport is either via taxi or bus, with the most inexpensive being by bus.

  • Skybus travels Melbourne Airport to City (Southern Cross Station) 24 hours, 7 days a week with one departing every 10-15 minutes.  Tickets are $18 one-way / $36 return.  On arrival to the city depot they provide a free transfer to your city accommodation.  Tickets can be purchased at the Airport.
  • Taxi - A taxi to the city should cost between AUD$60 - $70, inclduing the compulsory airport fee payable by departing taxi’s and Citylink tollway charges.  This will be included in the final fare.
  • Private Transfer - Various private chauffeured car companies operate in Melbourne.  We suggest the following companies - Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cards, Melbourne Airport Transfers or Melbourne Prestige Limos
  • Hire Cars - Various car hire companies operate from the Melbourne Airport, both the domestic and international terminals.  Please click here for contact details.
